Where are you located at?
We are at The Barnyard Shopping Village in Carmel. Offering all-day free parking, courtyards, retail and restaurants. Located only 25 minutes from Salinas and 5 minutes from the ocean. Find Us
What are the available hours?
You can book from 6am to 11:30pm Monday through Sunday, including Holidays. Access is provided via remote entry, allowing you full control of the space.
What is ProCleaning?
With ProCleaning we will vacuum, mop and dispose of the trash provided in the receptacles provided after your booking.​
What does setup and breakdown include?
We offer these services as an optional add-on to either the Essential or Prime Packages.

Setup: You pick a layout or create your own and we will setup the tables and chairs prior to the start of your booking.

Breakdown: After your booking ends, we will wipe down and put away the tables and chairs.
What is the guest capacity?
A maximum of 65 people at anytime. We've also have had 52 people seated for a reception dinner. Click here for layout.
What is a private event?
A private event is a gathering of guests that are invited and not advertised or promoted to the public.
Can I bring my own alcohol?
Yes, you can bring your own alcohol. Consumption is limited to private events and indoors only. Event insurance is required if you and/or your guests are consuming alcohol (beer, wine or liquor).
Can I bring my own food?
Yes, you can bring your own food. You can get it from your favorite restaurant or hire a caterer of your choosing. Cooking is not allowed inside or throughout the common and parking areas of The Barnyard. Food trucks, taco stands and other type of outdoor catering services are not allowed.
Can I hire my own vendors?
Yes, you can hire any vendor you like as long as they meet our vendor requirements. We recommend that your provide the below link to any vendor you would like to hire prior to hiring them. Our Marketplace is a free service we provide to more easily connect our customer with local and nationwide businesses.

Decorations & Photo Booth
Make it your own! You can decorate the venue to fit your theme, layout and liking. Bounce houses are not allowed.
DJ/Live Music & Dancing
Yes you can, its a celebration! Please be respectful of our neighbors. Indoor music is allowed from soundbar included with booking. Dancing and Disc Jockey or Live Bands are allowed after 6pm from Monday through Saturday and 4pm on Sundays. Live music must end no later than 10pm.
Is event insurance required?
We do require that event insurance to be provided prior to your reservation date if you and/or your guests are consuming alcohol. Also, required for all types of public events. Get a free quote online from our partner. Click here to learn more.
Is there a Refundable Security Deposit?
Yes. An amount of $150 is charged to the card on file after reservation is completed and prior to your reservation date to cover any accidentals, late fees, damages or other costs incurred by us that may arise from your booking.
What is the refund and rescheduling policy?
Packages are non-refundable. There is a rescheduling fee. Rescheduling option, not refund, is available at no cost to client only if there is a power outage, access to venue is hindered through all entry points or natural disaster affecting the location of the venue.
The rescheduling fee for any cancellation will be charged and the credit will be valid for 12 months from cancellation date. Credit will have no cash value and cannot be applied towards event insurance, security deposit, event monitor or other 3rd party add-on options.

60 days to day of reservation 90% fee of total booking amount & fees paid will be discounted (10% credit provided).

90 to 61 days prior to reservation date 75% fee of total booking amount & fees paid (25% credit provided).

90 or more days prior to reservation date 50% of total booking amount & fees paid (50% credit provided).
Must be at least 21 years of age to book. Table linens not included or provided. Cooking is not allowed (example: food trucks, grills or taco stands not allowed).

Event insurance. Required if serving alcohol and for public events. We reserve the right to require event insurance depending on the type of event at our discretion.

Event Monitor. Required to have an Event Monitor present from 7pm until end of booking time when hosting alcohol. Fee for Event Monitor services is $25 per hour, prorated to the nearest 1/2 hour with a 1 hour minimum. We reserve the right to require an Event Monitor on events not hosting alcohol and may require an earlier start time at our discretion. Public events may be required to have an Event Monitor present for part or the entire duration of the reservation.​

All bookings are first come. Bookings are not confirmed until payment is received.

We reserve the right to refuse and/or cancel any booking at our own discretion for a full refund of the amount paid if applicable.

The Community Share Space assumes no liability or responsibility for any additional expenses incurred, other than those directly charged by and paid to The Community Shared Space for the rental of the event space.

All Package bookings are non-refundable. A rescheduling fee applies for change of date.

Discounts are not redeemable for cash value and proof must be provided to qualify. If proof is not provided discount will not be applied.
