Member Monthly Credits

12 Months Members Receive a $20 nonrecurring monthly credit to apply towards a booking time slot of your choice. Credit equals 4 weekday hours or 2 weekend hours.

 

6 Months Members Receive a $10 nonrecurring monthly credit to apply towards a booking time slot of your choice. Credit equals 2 weekday hours or 1 weekend hour.

Credits refresh on the first of every month; unused credits due not rollover to the next month.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are membership dues refundable? Given the limited number of memberships we allow, memberships are not refundable  or nontransferable. Membership cannot be canceled early for a refund.

Are booking fees refundable? Booking fees are refundable for 1 time slot, 21-days prior, 2 time slots 30-days prior 3 time slots 45-days prior.

What are credits and how do they work? Credits are provided at the first of each month to Members and can only be applied once per month to any time slot. Credits do not rollover or accumulate. Credits cannot be redeemed for cash value.

Can I serve alcohol, wine or beer at my event? The serving of alcoholic beverages is acceptable but limited to our Rules and Guidelines and applicable state laws as set by the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control and liability insurance. Permit approval is solely up to the discretion of the ABC Office to grant. Some additional restrictions may apply so please check with us or visit our Rules & Guidelines page. 

Do I need to have liability insurance? If you are using the space for a what is considered "co-working", such as meeting, workshop, class, small gathering of volunteers, donors or staff, etc. it is not required. It is required for all types of events, fundraisers and any sort of function in which invited guests and the public will be participating in. Also, insurance is required if you are having animals on premises, such as a pet-adoption. Check with us if you're not sure or visit our Rules & Guidelines page.

Can I book the space for a public event? All events that are open to the public must be approved by The Community Shared Space at its own discretion. The Community Shared Space reserves the right, without disclosure of reasoning, to allow or prohibit public events. Please contact us if you would like to have an open to the public event. 

Is there a deposit required? We only require a deposit for events and whenever alcohol or other substances are served. An additional fee will apply and be charged to the credit card on file if after using the location it is not left in the same condition as it was at the start of the reservation.
